Big Bang
The Start of Something Big.

Innova opened for business in 1998, a few people crammed into one conference room. At the time, it was a natural extension of Sigler Printing, our sister company and one of the nation's top production houses. Clients needed bigger picture solutions. Innova was the in-house answer to that need.

It became clear immediately, however, that Innova was a business in demand. As a fresh, new agency, we were small enough to act nimbly, ambitious enough to think boldly.

We began expanding. Outgrowing buildings. Adding locations. Landing bigger and bigger accounts. Creating better and better work.

Our a la carte menu of services kept growing as well. Design and copywriting made room for special events, public relations and strategic planning, then came interactive media and educational marketing – well, you get the picture.

In 2000, we converted a former hardware building into our creative headquarters in Ames, replacing saws and ladders with light tables and creative briefs. Three years later, we worked with The Principal to open an embedded office in their Des Moines location. In May 2004, we added a second location in downtown Des Moines.

Today we stand at nearly 100 employees (some of whom you can meet here) between the three Innova buildings. And 2008 marks our company's 10-year anniversary. We plan on celebrating the occasion with our employees, clients, partners and friends. You should contact us soon, or you might miss out on the fun.

So that’s the origin of Innova. It didn't start with a big bang. But we're certainly making some noise now…
